I just ran across this short article when playing around on the google machine. Sorta interesting:

Glory holes are most certainly real.

Although the prevalence and use of glory holes in the United States has sharply decreased since the height of the AIDS epidemic in the 1990’s, they can still be found in various bathrooms, adult stores, and many other semi-private spaces all over the country.

In fact, and existence of glory holes can actually be traced back thousands of years.

Many historians believe they were already in use back in Ancient Egypt, and there are numerous hieroglyphs that would appear to support this theory.

The practice later spread to Greece, where it became more commonly associated with bathroom use. Here is an Ancient Greek glory hole plug dating back to the 5th century BC:

I have long contended that GH's have existed many years ago, but not having much information to actually back up my feelings. Can you at least copy and paste the text information about the subject here please? I have googled the subject myself but I mostly come up dry or with stupid links to dumb porn sites.
