You gotta think, if for some reason you do get caught and all your stuff is in the bookbag already you still got sawdust on the ground and you cant say that the hole was there already.

Get a co-conspirator with a really loud car to pull up in the parking lot and gun it while blasting the horn. Coordinate this by phone. And when he starts making noise, you start drilling. By the time you're done drilling, have your co-conpirator drive away into the night. Job done!
