The best times are early morning on the way to work crowd. 7-8 am. Lunch rush 11 am to 1 pm. Evening rush hour 5 to 7 pm. Saturday all day hit and miss. Used to be Sunday afternoons were good also. This is from past expierence around RDU Airport bookstores near US 70 in Raleigh. Also was a decent place in Durham (Xcitement) if you can get past the stale cigarette smoke.
Don't get there too often anymore as I live in Virginia and it's nearly a two hour drive each way.
