That's always been my point too. Start however you're gonna start, but from then on, it's paying attention to what they like, listening to what they say, and not being offended by their suggestions. I'm down there to get them off, and that's only gonna happen if I do what they like.
Has anyone who has built a wooden hole, found a clever way to make the height adjustable, other than cutting a long slot? If I build one, like @mcluvin78 said, I only want the hole big enough for their cock and balls, and a long slot is too much exposure for me.
