I agree. There IS a fine line between verbal encouragment and praise - and - instructions as far as verbal interaction goes. Your experience is a good example of the 1st kind. But the bad kind is the dude that has to give blow-by-blow (pardon the pun) instructions - ie; faster, slower, harder, watch the teeth . . . needs to just stay home and JO. . . . that way - he can get it just exactly the way he wants it.
